Maria T. Malchiondo, BSc, MHSc, MEd, CHRL

Lead Therapist

Maria brings a compassionate, client-centered approach to therapy, offering support for those navigating life’s complexities — from workplace stress and concerns, to life transitions, career counselling, personal effectiveness , growth and self-exploration to relationship issues, boundary setting, self-esteem and confidence, burnout and stress, anxiety, grief, and the impact of trauma. Her focus is on creating a welcoming and non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their emotions, identify obstacles, and work toward meaningful change.

Maria holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto with a double major in Human Biology and Microbiology. She also earned a Master of Health Sciences in Occupational & Environmental Health and a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology, both from the University of Toronto. She is a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).

Before becoming a therapist, Maria spent over 30 years in the corporate world as a Human Resources professional. This unique background allows her to offer valuable insight and support to clients dealing with workplace stress, interpersonal dynamics at work, and career-related concerns.

Maria’s therapeutic style is integrative and flexible, drawing on evidence-based practices and adapting them to fit each person’s needs. In working together, clients are guided to build insight, recognize and shift unhelpful patterns, and develop tools to cope with life’s challenges. Whether addressing past experiences, managing current struggles, or planning for the future, Maria’s priority is to walk alongside you as you move toward greater resilience, clarity, and self-empowerment.
